Fall, Winter, Awards Season. Yes, it's on. The extra pounds accumulated over the holidays (for those who, unlike me, didn't have a stomach flu) have hardly had a chance to be New Year Resolutioned off and it's already time for Hollywood to pour themselves into dresses that often do little to hide anything Spanx can't help.

Yet, the string of awards shows kicked off last night with The People's Choice Awards (where the winners are told in advance and are the only ones really guaranteed to attend), the Critics Choice Awards tonight - where Brad and Angelina dazzled everyone on the carpet but inside everyone got rather tipsy, indulging more in the open bar than the strictly cold food catering. The parties tonight filtered out early as people seemed primed to pace themselves for the rest of the week with the Golden Goldes Sunday and the littany of hospitality suites and parties leading up to them and after them.

That said, I'm home about to watch my Tivo'd Grey's Anatomy while I can and cuddled up with my rent-a-dog (I'm still dog-sitting), but check back as I'm sure to have lots to report as awards season rolls on...  ;) xo

Here are some quick bites on limited time:

-A little birdie told me Fergie is having her bachelorette party in Santa Monica tonight; her wedding location is so far on the DL that her guests haven’t even been told where it will be yet! Would you rather crash Fergie’s bachelorette party – or Josh Duhamel’s bachelor party? Hmm.

-Spywitnesses who saw Lindsay Lohan at Apple Lounge in West Hollywood tell me that ‘Lindsay and Samantha have definitely broke up.’ Not shocking despite their denials – but exactly how does my source know this is 100% for real, for sure? Her evidence is sealed, but I believe it.

-I just interviewed The Biggest Loser host Allison Sweeney who said she’s been working out consistently throughout her pregnancy and craving pickles and sugar-free hot chocolates. I'm going to spend a day training at The Biggest Loser camp next week and am afraid, very afraid -but also very excited!

Ok, gotta go. Late for dinner at XIV ;) xo

My New Year’s Resolution. Number one was/is to blog daily, ehem, more regularly. I missed beginning this at the start of the year due to being in the mountains of Sun Valley and out of wireless range for the first few days, and, well a host of reasons since – like muddling through the literally thousands of emails and invites that accumulated in my absence.

Nonetheless, from here on forward I will, again, make a concerted effort to keep you more regularly updated on my various adventures and random thoughts.

This week alone I’ll be out and about playing at the Critics Choice, People’s Choice and Golden Globes parties – then next week it’s off to my fifth consecutive Sundance Film Festival!

In the meantime, today is also day one of dogsitting! I’ve long wanted to get a dog and decided the responsible thing was trying out borrowing a dog first. So, I’m dog-sitting my friend Genevieve Cortese’s adorable King Charles Indy while she’s on-location filming Supernatural. Dogs are a full-time job, lucky Indy’s cute and stays comfortably curled at my feet while I slave away in front of the computer ;) xo

I was scheduled to be at Diddy, Maroon 5 and Molly Sims parties at Liv and Blade in the Fountainbleu Hotel in Miami tonight. I was also going to stop by the Shore Club, maybe the new Gansevoort South Beach and probably end up at Mokai while party hopping down South Beach in a celebrity-laden haze of debauchery with dozens of my equally party-loving friends.

It felt empowering when I made the spontaneous decision to step out of my comfort zone and instead hop a flight to meet friends in the mountains Sun Valley, Idaho – where I don’t even get blackberry service and the only celebs I’ve seen so far are Jamie Lee Curtis and Clint Eastwood, who are currently sitting across from me in the Sun Valley ski lodge.

Rather than tequila shots and celebs my night will be full of spiced wine and butterscotch schnapps-spiked hot chocolate – at a formal neon ball! Wait until you see my outfit!

The only thing I’ve skipped on this ski trip is, well, the skiing. I’m not willing to step out of the comfort I have with my bones being in tact. Sadly, my friend Gen Cortese -the hot girl dating hot guy Jared Padalecki on CW’s Supernatural (and in real life!) who I’m staying with up here slipped on some black ice and is in a soft cast and a sling so keeping me company off the slopes – although she did take me to a session with her personal trainer Bill Nerge about an hour after I landed.

I was excited to get my blood flowing with a personal training session but I wrongly assumed Bill would go easy on us given Gen’s injury. Not so much. He had me biking, rowing, stair climbing and on a treadmill at 30% incline – all before the workout even started! I’m currently typing this blog while I’m still able to lift my arms – tomorrow I’m not so sure I’ll be able to. I told Bill, “I better wake up tomorrow strong and skinny.’ He laughed. Are all personal trainers closet sadists? But, that would make me a masochist because I’m going back today for more.

Gotta look hot tonight in my black tie dress, pink neon tights and black Converse.
I hope you all have a very happy and healthy, safe, memorable, joyous New Year’s Eve and I’ll babble to you more in the new year – writing more regularly is topping my new year’s resolutions list. ;) xo
